Some restaurants serve breakfast.
Others declare war on it.
Ordered avocado and eggs. Expected toast. Received a construction project involving hash browns, guacamole and eggs stacked together like someone lost a bet in the kitchen.
Even the vegetarian Irish breakfast arrived without toast. A bold choice. Next time perhaps they'll serve cereal without milk and call it innovation. Had order toast separately like a add on!
The mushrooms and tomatoes were generously lubricated with oil, the granola parfait contained more hope than granola, and the breakfast tea was so weak it qualified as lightly flavoured hot water.
The waitress was lovely, though, and deserves credit for delivering the evidence with a smile.
€20 later, I've learned that a high Google rating and a good breakfast are not always related.
Thank you for your review.
A small point of clarification: our menu is surprisingly literal. The Vegetarian Irish does not include toast, and neither does our Weekend Special Avocado Hash. The dish consisting of hash browns, avocado salsa and poached eggs stacked together in exactly the manner described on the menu.
From the photos attached to your review, it also appears that alterations were made to the original dish. We are always happy to accommodate changes, though they can occasionally turn the intended presentation.
We are sorry the granola, tea and mushrooms didn't hit the mark on this occasion. We are particularly pleased that our waitress managed to deliver the "evidence" with a smile, and we will be sure to pass on your kind words to her.
We appreciate your feedback and hope that, should you visit again, breakfast feels less like a construction project and more like the experience we intended to serve.
